What to do if you're sick

The signs and symptoms of flu, COVID-19, and RSV are similar and can make it difficult to tell which you have.

Knowing if you're positive with COVID-19 will help you determine how long you should avoid being around others and what precautions to take. Visit our COVID-19 Testing page for options. Knowing what infection is making you sick lets you know if there are specific treatments available.

Prescription antiviral treatments for COVID-19 and for flu are widely available and can lower your risk of severe illness, hospitalization, and death if they are started soon after you become infected.

Treatment for RSV is supportive care, as there is no effective antiviral for RSV at this time.
