If you are involved in a dust-generating operation, you may need dust control training. If your work involves processing concrete, asphalt or rock products (including crushing or screening rock products), you may need dust control training. See Do You Need Dust Control Training? for more details.
Newly-hired employees will be granted 30 days from their date of hire to complete training and attain the applicable certification.
All dust control certifications are valid for three years from the date of issue. Dust classes often fill very quickly: be sure to register for class for recertification well in advance of the expiration of your certification.
The Basic Rule 310 dust control training class is now available online. Email AQTraining@Maricopa.gov or call our training line at (602) 372-1467 to register.
If your work as a subcontractor involves tasks (such as driving a water truck or being a designated on-site representative) that require dust control training, then you must complete the dust control training program required for those tasks. See Do You Need Dust Control Training? for more details.
An identification card will be issued by the department upon completion of training and is to be carried by the certified individual at all times while on site.
