Important Notification

You have 30 calendar days from your date of hire or the date of change in your employment status to complete your benefit elections online through the Benefit Enrollment System via the ADP Portal. Contact your HR Liaison or Employee Benefits to obtain the registration code.

Benefits Eligibility

In general, benefits are effective the first day of the month following your date of hire.

Learning About Your Benefits

You should plan to attend either the County’s New Employee Orientation (NEO) hosted by Human Resources (HR), or the Benefits and Wellness presentation, hosted by the Department of Employee Benefits and Health (EBH). Attached is the schedule (PDF) that lists the dates/times of both presentations.

Human Resources New Employee Orientation (HR NEO)

The HR NEO is an all-day session that introduces you to the Maricopa County organization, outlines the many employee benefits available, and explains your rights and responsibilities. Review the What's New Booklet (PDF) prior to attending NEO.

Employee Benefits and Wellness Presentation

The Employee Benefits and Wellness presentation contains the same information presented at the HR NEO. It is provided to accommodate anyone who cannot attend the HR NEO. Review the What's New Booklet (PDF) prior to attending NEO.

How to Enroll

Your Department HR Liaison will need to submit a Benefits and Wellness Registration Form (PDF) with your name and department to enroll you in the Employee Benefits and Wellness presentation. The registration request must be completed and sent to the Employee Benefits Division either via e-mail at or via fax at 602-506-2354 NO LATER THAN NOON on the THURSDAY PRIOR to a scheduled Benefits and Wellness presentation. The Benefits and Wellness NEO Registration Form is only to be used to register for the Benefits and Wellness NEO.  If you will be attending the regular HR NEO, your HR Liaison should continue to use the current registration process.
